Vladimir Putin Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iran, describing them as unjustified aggression, while pledging support for the Iranian people. Putin made the statement during a meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Moscow on Monday, just two days after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered strikes on three of Iran’s key nuclear sites. “The unprovoked aggression against Iran has no basis and no justification,” Putin said in his televised statement. “For our part, we are making efforts to assist the Iranian people.
