A Nigerian lawyer has shared a disturbing account of an 18-year-old girl who has been in prison for months after being forced by the police to confess to armed robbery. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the lawyer revealed that he had visited a correctional facility to interview an inmate but ended up speaking with several others who lacked legal representation. Among them was the young girl, whom he identified as EUO. According to his findings, the girl was arrested in August 2024 while hawking agidi.
