SUG Delivers on Promises: Commissions 110 Trampoline Door Covers to Boost Hostel Comfort

 In a significant move to enhance students' welfare, the Students' Union Government (SUG) of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has commissioned 110 trampoline door covers across both male and female hostels. The project, aimed at improving comfort and privacy in bathroom and toilet facilities, was officially launched on March 18, 2025.

The SUG President, Comrade Haruna Umar, described the initiative as a fulfillment of his campaign promises. Speaking during an interview, he emphasized the union's dedication to enhancing student living conditions. He confirmed that the project was fully funded by the SUG using students' dues, reaffirming his administration's commitment to prioritizing student needs.  

Hostel administrators, Malam Mohammed Balarabe and Hajiya Rukayya, praised the SUG’s efforts, acknowledging the positive impact the project would have on hostel life. They expressed gratitude to the union, highlighting that the current administration has brought notable improvements to students’ living conditions.

Students also welcomed the development with enthusiasm. Ahmad Nasir, a resident student, expressed his appreciation. "This is a great initiative, and we appreciate the SUG for prioritizing our comfort and privacy. We hope to see more projects like this in the future," he remarked.  

The commissioning of the trampoline door covers marks a significant step in the SUG’s ongoing efforts to improve student life on campus. With this project now completed, students are hopeful for more initiatives that will further enhance their overall experience at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi.
