A graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Jamiu Bashola, has allegedly been detained after requesting validation of his JAMB result and admission status. Jamiu, an orphan, was admitted into FUTA in 2018 to study Civil Engineering after writing and passing the 2017 UTME and Post-UTME. Iran hits U.S bases with 10 missiles in retaliation for Trump’s attack

Iran has reportedly launched at least 10 ballistic missiles targeting American military bases in the region, in what Tehran says is direct retaliation for the recent U.S. bombing of its nuclear sites. One of the missile attacks was aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest U.S. base in the Middle East, which houses over 11,000 American troops and more than 100 aircraft, including strategic bombers and surveillance planes. Qatari officials confirmed that air defense systems were activated and successfully intercepted the missiles. No casualties or damage have been reported so far. Air raid sirens also sounded at other U.S. military installations in Kuwait, Iraq, and Bahrain shortly after the Al Udeid base came under threat. The strikes come after President Donald Trump ordered airstrikes over the weekend on Iran’s key nuclear facilities, using 30,000-pound bunker buster bombs. The attacks have drawn sharp warnings from Tehran, which has vowed to hold the U.S., Israel, and Wes...

“I’ll defend Iran” – Putin vows

Vladimir Putin  Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iran, describing them as unjustified aggression, while pledging support for the Iranian people. Putin made the statement during a meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Moscow on Monday, just two days after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered strikes on three of Iran’s key nuclear sites. “The unprovoked aggression against Iran has no basis and no justification,” Putin said in his televised statement. “For our part, we are making efforts to assist the Iranian people. I’m very glad you are in Moscow today so we can discuss all these pressing issues and think together about how we could get out of today’s situation.” In response, Araqchi defended Iran’s position, insisting the country’s actions were in legitimate self-defence. He also expressed appreciation for Russia’s stance, thanking Moscow for condemning the U.S. strikes. “Russia is today on the right side of history and int...
